For years, our leadership in Congress has failed to enact effective legislation to address our nation’s gun violence epidemic. Mass shootings have come to dominate the headlines month after month, while our elected officials do nothing.
But as we have seen around the country, people are taking action to change that.
We will be attending the Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Rally with Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter was killed in the Parkland shooting. In response to experiencing every parent's worst nightmare, Fred has channeled his tremendous grief into action. Mr Guttenberg has traveled the country to advocate for common-sense gun reform.
We will rally with Moms and Mr. Guttenberg to tell our elected officials that the days of their INACTION on common-sense gun legislation are OVER. We are gearing up to FLIP our DISTRICT and the HOUSE, and we need your voices!

Fred is coming to the 49th Congressional District to help us FLIP this seat!
This November, we have the chance to elect Mike Levin, a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate who will fight for gun violence prevention for our children. His opponent, Diane Harkey, with her "A" rating from the NRA, will only fight to keep getting campaign contributions from the gun lobby.
After the rally, join Flip for a neighborhood canvass to CONNECT with VOTERS. This is where the work of flipping the 49th happens! We can’t do it without registering voters and knocking on doors. Even if you’ve never canvassed before, this crucial election is the time to start! Training and scripts will be provided; no experience is necessary.
The rally will begin at 9:00 AM. Doors open at 8:30 AM
This will be a special day to honor the victims of gun violence--especially our nation’s youth--by taking ACTION to take back Congress. Unite with an army of activists to hear inspirational speakers, register voters, and canvass neighbors in our district. Bring water, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a friend!
